Bronster Hoshibata Obtains $9.9 Million Verdict Against Investment "Advisers"

Bronster Hoshibata attorneys Catherine L. Aubuchon and Leslie P. Chinn successfully represented a 78 year old Plaintiff who invested hundreds of thousands of dollars with two “investment advisers” in Honolulu who preyed upon elderly people. Judge Patrick W. Border awarded a verdict in excess of $9.9 million against  the defendants which included compensation for the Plaintiff’s lost investments, treble damages pursuant to the Hawaii Unfair and Deceptive Act Practices (“UDAP”) statute, statutory damages pursuant to the Consumer Fraud Against Elders statute, and punitive damages and attorneys’ fees and costs.
